Family Therapy

All clinicians at the Pacific Center work on a yearly contract basis and are supervised by licensed clinicians who are members or allies of the LGBTQ community. Our therapists include a wide range of age groups, backgrounds and ethnicities. Each therapist at the Pacific Center maintains strict confidentiality and will always treat you with respect. When you come in for counseling at the Pacific Center, you will find that your therapist is someone who not only has a strong desire to work with those in the LGBTQ community but has taken extra steps to be well-trained and sensitive to the concerns of those we serve.

All services are offered with an understanding and sensitivity to issues specific to the queer community at affordable sliding scale fees. Though we cannot accept insurance, we do accept MediCal.

The Pacific Center also offers therapy groups throughout the year. The focus of these groups changes as the needs of our clients change so be sure to check the calendar for the current offerings.

Couples Therapy

You and your therapist will work in collaboration to identify your goals, discuss what you want from therapy, and figure out how you will know when you are making progress. You can expect that your therapist will take your concerns seriously and help you deal with them more effectively. How to Start Therapy at the Pacific Center

To get started please call our Counseling Request Line at 510.548.8283 x250. This line is monitored between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm, every Monday through Friday, except for legal holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year, when we close for a winter break. You will be asked to leave a message with contact information and the best times to reach you. When an intake clinician returns your call that person will guide you through the process of starting therapy, and answer any questions you have, or direct you to further resources if necessary.
